Henrik Fisker is the leading automobile designer and CEO of Fisker Automotive. He graduated from the Swiss campus of California’s Art Center College of Design in 1989 and started his career at BMW in Germany, where he was recognized as one of the most celebrated automotive designers of the last twenty years.
Among his best known creations are the Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and BMW Z8 Roadster. From 1989-1992, he served as a designer at BMW Technik GmbH, BMW’s advanced design studio in Munich.
From 1992-1997, he designed the Z07 concept car and the exterior of the production BMW Z8 roadster featured in the James Bond film, “The World Is Not Enough.”
From 2000-2001, Fisker served as the President and CEO of BMW’s California-based subsidiary, DesignworksUSA.
From 2001-2003, he served as Design Director for Aston Martin and Creative Director of Ingeni — Ford Motor Company’s London-based design and creativity center.
From 2003-2005, he served as Director of Ford’s Global Advanced Studio (CAPC) while serving as a member of the Board of Directors at Aston Martin. In 2005, he co-founded Fisker Coachbuild with Bernhard Koehler.
In 2008, he unveiled the Karma — the first car built under the moniker, Fisker Automotive — a new partnership between Fisker Coachbuild and Quantum Technologies.
